Signs of an Abuser

  • Isolates you from family and friends
  • Threatens you with weapons
  • Destroys your personal property
  • Is verbally Abusive
  • Extremely jealous
  • Overreacts to small things
  • Unpredictable mood swings
  • Seems charming to outsiders
  • Puts you down/calls you names
  • Slaps, hits, punches, or shoves you
  • Has problems with authority figures
  • Doesn't take responsibility for actions
  • Tells you no one else will want you
  • Threatens to hurt you, your children, family, friends, pets or himself
